Cara Lucey, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was born and raised on the island of Oahu in Kaneohe. My introduction to EMDR began while working with interfamilial sexual abuse. I was formally trained with Shapiro's EMDR model in 2014 and began using EMDR as my primary treatment modality. I was Certified through EMDR International Association in 2018 and received additional training through EMDR Consulting as an integrative approach to EMDR in the clinical setting at that time.
