Dawn Rego-Yee, MSW (she/her) was born and raised in Hilo on Hawaiʻi Island and identifies as wahine Hawaiʻi, mother, wife, daughter, aunty, hula learner, ʻāina aloha and social justice worker. She is a trauma informed care trainer, social justice consultant and project manager who has worked in child advocacy, community-building, leadership, equtiy and non-profits. She received a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Certificate in Hawaiʻi Life Styles from Hawaiʻi Community College. She believes in our pilina (relationship) to ʻāina, environment and each other to strengthen our ʻohana and lāhui to return our people to greatness.
