Jodi Shaw, LSW, CCM, OSW-C, APHSW-C: Licensed Social Worker. Jodi Shaw is the oncology social worker for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and one of two Patient Care Coordinators for the Medical Aid in Dying option. Jodi received her BA in Asian American Studies at the University of Washington, her MSW degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is board-certified in oncology social work and advanced hospice and palliative social work. She has worked with patients with life-threatening illnesses for 18 years, first at HMSA as a palliative care coordinator/case manager, then since 2008 at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii as a palliative care social worker in the home, inpatient, and clinic settings before becoming Kaiser Hawaii’s first oncology social worker in 2010. Jodi is dedicated to improving the quality of life and care for her patients and families throughout their journey, and to support physicians and staff as well.
